In the dark ages, amidst the squalor and pestilence of medieval England, a king unlike any other embarks on a sacred quest. King Arthur, a man more accustomed to ludicrous political debates than royal decrees, rides forth, clattering coconuts together to simulate the sound of his absent steed. His mission, divinely ordained (or so he claims), is to gather the Knights of the Round Table and seek the Holy Grail. First he encounters Sir Bedevere the Wise, whose logic is as sound as a cracked bell, and then the valiant, if somewhat cowardly, Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot. As they venture forth, dodging plague-ridden corpses and bizarre encounters with anarchist peasants, they soon discover that this grail quest is less about divine intervention and more about surviving the sheer absurdity of their own existence. The journey to Camelot might be paved with good intentions, but it’s the detours, the unexpected and utterly illogical encounters, that will truly define their legend.
